About

Joe Struss started New Renaissance Video in 1993 in order to document some student dances at Iowa State. Joe was at that time working as "Sir Edmund" for the comedy team of "Puke and Snot" at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. The company was named New Renaissance Video because of the new "Renaissance" that was coming from digital video brought about by the Amiga Video Toaster which was amongst NRV's initial investments.

Since then, NRV has shot and edited over 100 dance concerts as well as editing over 20 DVD's/Tape's for the Trans-Iowa Canal Company.

Joe continues to be interested in dance and video production with his work with the Trans-Iowa Canal Company and participating in the 48-Hour Film Festival.
